C.E.--Departmental correspondence, 1982-1988

 File — Box: 9, Folder: 11
Identifier: Subseries 1.2

Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series:

This subseries contains memoranda, newsletters, brochures, planning documents, and similar materials concerning the College of Engineering and the Department of Civil Engineering. Materials are not comprehensive of the time period indicated; they are simply what Albertson or his office staff happened to save. Still, the materials document the college and the department in significant ways, such as through planning documents, evaluations, and marketing materials. Subjects covered include programs being developed, research, personnel issues, and faculty matters. There are also several files concerning the Hydro Machinery Laboratory. The first batch of files remains loosely grouped as found. The second batch is arranged alphabetically. Files from other parts of the collection were added at the end. It appears that Dr. Albertson inherited some files from a colleague, H.W. Collins, and these are marked as such. Related files can be found in Series 13.

Restrictions on Access

Due to the presence of student information in Subseries 1.1, some files require review before access is granted. Access to student information is open only to the student in question and to Colorado State University employees. However, access to others will be granted upon having written consent from the student or providing written proof that the student is deceased.

All "confidential" markings on correspondence or other materials have been determined to be for administrative purposes, not national security information; therefore, these materials are open for access.

One file in Series 9 is closed until 2034.
