WWE audit report backup, Buffalo Park, 1990
Scope and Contents
Beginning in the 1970s, the Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District (SECWCD) hired Wright Water Engineers (WWE) for a series of water rights-related cases in the Arkansas River Basin. Most required expert testimony from WWE and concerned ag-to-urban water transfers that diverted irrigation water from agricultural ditch companies, most famously the Rocky Ford Ditch, to Aurora and other Front Range cities in the 1980s. WWE also gathered data and provided stream modeling for SECWCD and the State of Colorado for Kansas v. Colorado. Material types include notes, data, meeting minutes, correspondence, reports, photographs, slides, and maps. The series follows the arrangement provided by WWE project headings. One folder of oversize is listed at the end.
