Scope and Contents

This subseries consists of papers, reports, correspondence, and minutes reflecting Kenneth Wright's and the Wright-McLaughlin Engineers' work related to his appointment as special consultant to Governor Lamm for the Big Thompson flood disaster. Included are minutes of both the Big Thompson Recovery Planning Council and the later Big Thompson Advisory Committee. Correspondence to and from those impacted by the flood, correspondence and memos from various government officials, and correspondence from and to Wright and others in the firm are also included. A comprehensive collection of newspaper clippings covering 1976-1978 provides details of the disaster and the response to it. The subseries is arranged alphabetically by folder title.
