Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The Colorado State University Mountain Campus Collection consists of material dated 1888 to 2018. Topics concern the history of activities at the Mountain Campus, including course materials, student staff and participants, the 1994 Hourglass Fire, and the history of the region. Histories of early settlers, staff, and nearby residents and are both written and recorded. Material types include documents, newspapers, books, photographs, slides, glass plate negatives, artifacts, audiocassettes, compact disks, videotapes, and a flash drive. Of special note are three reel to reel films of the Mountain Campus in 1966. Items that have been digitized are available in Mountain Scholar.

Please be aware that materials about the site's history do not include information about Arapahoe, Cheyenne, or other Native American predecessors to white settlement.

General

This box consists of information about the Pingree family as well as other topics related to the Mountain Campus. A book, Pengry - Genealogical Record of Descendants of Moses Pengry of Ipswich, MA..., arranged by William M. Pengry, is present as is a binder containing the Pingree family tree. There are three other binders consisting of administrative papers such as supply invoices, correspondence, and historical grant information; photographs, slides, and a CD of an interview with Sonia Fogg are also in the binders. A comb bound volume of the preliminary survey of the historic Ramsey-Koenig homestead prepared for the Mountain Campus and the State Historical Fund is present. Loose historical photographs and photocopies of photographs are also included as well as photocopies of historical documents, a visitor's guide and artwork for the guide, and a folder of sketches and photographs of a Boy Scouts' overnight trip.
