Field books, 1905-1928 and undated
Scope and Contents
Field books recording measurements, water levels, carrying capacity, and survey information of the Montezuma Valley irrigation system comprise this series. There are four distinct sets of field books labeled and numbered by the District; these are arranged numerically within the sets and then chronologically as sets. The remaining volumes, which include information on the Cortez-Mesa Verde Road, Highline Lateral, and carrying capacity measurements, are arranged chronologically with undated books at the end. Note that covers of some volumes were removed due to mold damage.

Restrictions on Access
Any files or items containing plans of any dams or dam structures are restricted to only MVIC employees, board members, or attorneys. Also, the collection is stored off-site, so advance notice is required.
