Picnic in the park (rolled), undated

This series includes photographs primarily of the Lory family, as well as the extended Richards and Lory families. Also included are photographs of friends, faculty, and neighbors, Loryhi, Colorado State campus, Estes Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park. Many of the photographs of people and places are unidentified. A few larger landscape photographs of the Rocky Mountains and Estes Park area have been left rolled.

Many of the photographs have duplicates spread throughout the boxes. Some of the photographs were previously organized by archival staff loosely by date. One run was noted with a folder and item number on the back, and other was noted with a date grouping and item number. These organizational schemes were not applied consistently or correctly throughout the collection and have not been maintained. The item level list created previously can be found in the administration file.

Most negatives were not kept with their related photographs. Identified and/or grouped negatives have been sleeved; loose negatives have been foldered. There are a few glass plate negatives that should be handled with care. Blank postcards include pictures of people and places, including various locations in Colorado and Northern Arizona. Albums consist of both photo albums assembled by the Lory family as well as souvenir albums of places such as Estes Park, Fort Collins, and Pueblo. Small albums have been foldered; larger albums have been placed in preservation boxes.
