 File
Identifier: Series 4

Scope and Contents

Contained here are Simons' files related to U.S. vs. Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) and Cleveland Wrecking Company, brought in 1989. The case concerned the Milltown Reservoir Sediments Site, the Anaconda Smelter Site, and other facilities located in the Clark Fork River Basin in Montana. Much of the materials are photocopies of pre-1980s documents Simons received as a consultant on the superfund site case to analyze the long-term effects of mining. Other documents are contemporary letters or reports related to Montana and its water resources.
