Scope and Contents
The Papers of Lloyd J. Gronning consists of documents dated 1986 to 1999 and is largely comprised of water exchange planning reports by the Gronning Engineering Company produced for the City of Colorado Springs and Colorado Springs Utilities. In addition to these reports, materials include a report on water transfers by GEC for the State of Colorado regarding the Fort Lyon Canal in the Arkansas River Valley, a conference paper on Colorado Springs' Arkansas River exchange plan, a presentation on water rights purchases, and a statewide water development report by Montgomery Watson, Inc. Also included is a VHS tape of attorney Glenn Saunders speaking about the history of Colorado water law.
