From the Series:

The majority of photographs in this series document either the 1980 Big Thompson flood or the 1982 Lawn Lake flood, and a few show earlier days of the ditch. Though people appear in some of the images, none are identified. Photographs are arranged in chronological order. Corresponding negatives are noted below but housed separately. Listed at the end are computer media, including DVDs of pipe inspections that contain videos, photographs, and reports, and a similar thumb drive.

Restrictions on Access

Series 1, 2, 4, and 5 and materials from 1982-1987 in Series 3 are open only to shareholders of and attorneys for the Reorganized Farmers Ditch Company. The rest of series 3, along with series 6 and 7, are fully accessible to anyone. Restrictions will be lifted December 30, 2033, on all but Series 3 materials. The company has requested notification from the archives about requests to review, copy or photograph materials not already online.

The collection is stored off-site, so advance notice is required.
