Card/Mary - 2 unmounted sets (empty), undated
Scope and Contents
This series consists primarily of posters created during the Poetry in Motion Project which Mary Crow oversaw as Poet Laureate to publicize the importance of literature. Poetry in Motion began in 1999 and originated from a concept created by the Poetry Society of America and the New York City Mass Transit Authority in 1992. Using poetry and visual materials created by public school students, CSU faculty and students, community artists, and nationally and internationally known poets, placards were created and mounted in the buses of the Fort Collins public transport system, Transfort. The series contains some of these placards as well as loose posters of their designs. An oversize collection of poetry with illustrations and a Streetfare Journal poster are also included in the series.
