Scope and Contents
This series contains objects given to Tom Sutherland or the Sutherland family upon Tom’s release from captivity in November 1991. Most bracelets, buttons, and ribbons were worn or displayed by senders as remembrances while Tom was a hostage and were sent Tom in welcome home letters and cards. Materials are stored according to need and listed alphabetically.

Restrictions on Access
Access to the Weekly Reader containing a student grade in Series 8 (box 36) is restricted for 70 years from the date of creation. Some items are stored off-site so advance notice is required.
