Speaking event at Scottish Rite, undated

This subseries consists of photographs and negatives dated between 1943 and 2008. Some photographs were found loose in boxes and others were found in envelopes from the developer. When possible, titles were taken from these original envelopes, and archivists assigned titles when envelopes were not available. Folders are listed alphabetically in two sections. Where possible, corresponding negatives and photographs were housed together in the first section. Negatives not identified or grouped with their corresponding photos were placed in a second section. Content mostly covers the personal lives of the Sutherland family, with some photos and negatives depicting professional events. Of note are photos from Beirut, Lebanon, before Tom’s kidnapping; images from return celebrations in Germany, California, and Colorado; and awards ceremonies, such as the Golden Plate Awards, where Tom poses with Dolly Parton and other favorite celebrities
