 Category
Identifier: Series 9

Scope and Contents

From the Series:

This series is comprised of projects concerning the South Platte River, mainly in the Denver metropolitan area, for various clients, including the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD), the Greenway Foundation, and the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB). The late 1960s and early 1970s saw increasing interest in urban renewal in Denver and restoration of the South Platte River flowing through the city, and Wright Water Engineers (along with predecessor company Wright-McLaughlin) was instrumental to this effort. The work related to drainage, river stabilization, boat chutes, infrastructure design, and flood studies. Files remain in the order found, which is roughly by project number. Material types include correspondence, data, calculations, notes, reports, maps, drawings, and photographs. Oversize drawings for the various projects are grouped at the end.
