Abstract Ray E. (Ray Edmund) Stanford was the author of "Butterflies of the Rocky Mountain states," co-authored "The Atlas of Western USA Butterflies, Including Adjacent Portions of Canada and Mexico," and donated more than 100,000 insect specimens from his personal collection to the C.
